About the Author Michael J. Mooney is a staff writer at D Magazine. He also writes for GQ, ESPN The Magazine, Outside, and Grantland. Not a long biography, but a short, more intimate look into the life of Chris Kyle. Loved the stories. This book shows what kind of a man Chris Kyle was away from the military. I wish I could have met him just once.

I wish I had the opportunity to know him personally. I still can't believe that he was taken from this world so soon. Reading about the funeral made me feel like I was there as everyone said goodbye to a truly amazing man and hero.
