About the Author Sarah Quill has worked as a photographer between Venice and London for over 40 years and has created an extensive photographic archive of Venetian architecture, environment and daily life. Her photographs are used widely in publications on Venice, and are regularly exhibited in London. She is a trustee of the Venice in Peril Fund.

Photographer Sarah Quill does Ruskin, Venice, and her readers a service in this new edition of a classic book By James Connelly This updated second edition is a terrific introduction to Ruskin's famous study of Venice. Beautiful photographs, some Ruskin's, some Quill's, some historic, and occasional drawings or watercolors illustrate apt selections from The Stones of Venice. This is a fine book.

Padgug A marvellous updating and abridgement of Ruskin's work on Venice, now a century-and-a-half old, but still the finest discussion of Venetian art. The modern photos add immensely to the enjoyment and understanding of this complex work.
