I have read the first four books on multiple times and was so excited when this book finally dropped to my Kindle. That being said, the first 70% of the book was absolutely wonderful. I would have liked to know more about previous characters, but the story was great and I really understood the motivation behind Harry and everything he was feeling. And if the book had continued that way this would have been a five star review. At about 70%, the story gets rushed. Everything wraps up entirely too easily and the story feels so rushed you spend the whole time thinking, wait, what?As this is supposed to be the conclusion of the series you would think you would have all your questions answered, however, I finished the book feeling so disappointed. I wanted to know about so many of the characters and what was going to happen to them. Will Mara 12 every take the gene altering skin patch so that she can finally love her son? Do they ever find the other ancients that are in stasis? What is going to happen to Sam and Wild Bill and will they share a Resonance Mate? It was suggested way back in Jaci's experiment but then it was just left hanging. I also don't know if Sam will ever get the chance to meet his daughter. Plus, will Hara will find his resonance mate? Also, at what point will being in stasis for so long effect those who are being discovered? See, just so many questions.To be honest, there is every possibility that I just had incredibly high expectations for this book since I feel like I have been waiting for it forever. Overall, if you are a fan of this series, then this is definitely something you don't want to miss. However, don't think that all your questions. When I finished the novel and closed my Kindle my only thought was that I hope this wasn't the final chapter of this series. I hope so much that this series continues because I hate having all these unanswered questions.

Ok, but not worth the wait By Andrea Phillips I typically don't write reviews for books, but felt I needed to this time...This book was ok... unlike the previous books in the Resonance Mates series, this one seemed rushed and almost thrown together in order to give closure to the O'Hara part of the series. Taking place only weeks after "Grady's Awakening" it gave us Harry's story, but did little but cause more questions. The ending left much to be desired as it fast forwarded through so many things and left more questions than answers. I sincerely hope this is not the final book in the series, but I really don't see how she can carry another book on through the fumble that was this one. All in all I feel it was a poor attempt to give readers another Resonance Mates book after her long absence. I could have waited a little longer for a better thought out product than one that seems so hastily thrown together. I do see how she can go along another thread by finding and restoring the 1st and 2nd generation Alvians, and in doing so give us mates for the Patriarch and others and allow us to get in on Bill's story (which I really would like to see). But... it'll take some creative writing to straighten things out, in my opinion.As much as I have loved these books, this one was much anticipated, but a disappointment.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great Finale By Tammie Kelsoe I love this series and really hated to see it end. There are characters that I wish had their own story. But overall, I really enjoyed the series. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys romantic sci-fi.
