3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. A lot to remember for one test By Robert When I went to get my certification to be an energy manager, I knew it was going to be a challenge. I learned a lot in my training and there was a lot to remember. On the everyday job, I knew I would continue to learn more things. But I also knew that I could look old things up if I needed to be reminded of something. I wasn't going to do anything wrong because I didn't remember something right. I could always look up the codes and standards and so on and so forth. However, when it comes to taking a certification test, I can't just take my books and notes along with me. I have to know that stuff and I have to prove it by putting down the right answers. In order to do that, I knew I needed to commit much of the material from my training to memory. And once I realized how much material that really was, I realized it was really a lot to remember. I wanted to try to study in an organized fashion so I wouldn't waste any time so I found this study guide to help. Once I read through the guide and made a few notes, I realized it had everything in it that I needed to learn. I was relieved by the short sections that held all of the info I needed. It was nice that it broke things down, unlike my notes, which just clumped it all together. Once I read through the guide several times, I felt like I had a better handle on the items I needed to remember. I might not even have to look them up on the job later! But if I do, I'll have this study guide handy to help me remember the important things.

The problem is that it is poorly written and often goes into discussions on subjects in which the Authors are not that informed. Example: They talk about what EER is but the missed the real definition of EER and the fact that EER = BTUs cooling of a system / Electrical Watts power req'd to operate the machine. Period.
