From the beginning, you know the main male character is hiding something and you are just dying to know what it is. You keep reading because every chapter leaves you having to know more about what is going to happen next. And you feel like you are living through the mental anguish that the characters experience both before and after the secret is revealed.Aside from the mystery component, the relationship and chemistry between the two leas characters is HOT and there is a lot of build up to the sex. Some side characters will also warm your heart.And while the book leaves you in turmoil for parts, it’s the kind of stress you enjoy and stay up all night for. But don’t worry…the ending is oh so satisfying

I picked up this book due to the great reviews and the mystery of the main characters "dark secret" mentioned in all the 5 star reviews. No spoilers the secret was an interesting reveal but it was also ewwwww as in gross.In addition Cedric the male lead was sleazy, immature and unstable and I spent the majority of the book wondering WTF did Alison see in this guy. I kept hoping she would wise up and meet another guy.Alison deserves better than Cedric and Cedric well he needs some meds.If you are looking for a lifetime plot twist this is the book for you. If you like unlikeable guys this book is for you.The only redeeming feature about this book is Alison and her work with autistic and special needs kids and adults. I wanted to hug Alison and find her a real man worthy of her love and affection.I guess the new adult genre is about mental men with deep issues in need of therapy and teaching women that putting up crappy men is the new thing as long as he utters the magic words "I love you"
