Lux Trace ( AKA ) Mistress Hathaway is a Dominatrix. She makes her living helping men and women live out their own fantasies. She's not one to submit, and has always been the one in control.As a professional Dominatrix she follows three simple rules:1. Never let them disobey you.2. Never let them touch you.3. Lux Trace, our main character, is no exception. She suffers, in silent, from deep seated insecurities which were brought on by her unhappy and unhealthy adolescence. Over the years she has built walls around her heart. Lux’s entire adult life has been spent in the world of BDSM. Becoming Dominatrix “Madam Hathaway” has given her power, control, stability and respect, which in turn makes her feel safe.On a chance encounter, Lux meets Fin MacKenzie. This Scottish man is unbelievably handsome, extremely confident and his Scottish accent makes him irresistible. As their relationship advances, her instabilities surface; thus making her start to doubt who she is and what she has become.Will their love be able to withstand the storm that is about to hit?Author Ally Bishop has written a tasteful, classy, erotic tale filled with emotion. By Lisa Waldie A good, fun book that doesn't insult the reader's intelligence or their ability to be mature about sexual content. I tend to get tired of constant euphemisms and it takes away from being able to get lost in a story. Lux is a strong woman who knows exactly who she is and what she wants until she meets sexy Scotsman Fin. But she doesn't question who she is so much as whether she really knew who she was to begin with. And she takes steps to make sure she learns who she is and does the best thing for herself, not just whatever she can to get her man. There's good character development with both Lux and Fin as well as the surrounding cast of characters. There's a good story arc taking us through who Lux is and how the two meet up and their relationship evolves. And the level of sexual content is just right - not so much that the story and/or character development suffer, but enough to keep you aware that you're reading erotica...and want to keep turning the pages.Nicely done, Ally! I'm looking forward to the next installment =)
