A collection of six short stories, Vice is one of those books that leaves you wanting more and more! These stories had a little bit of everything in them. There was mystery, sensuality, and to top it off even some paranormal activity. One of her stories, The Man of My Dreams, really stuck out to me. Because of my curiosity and the way my brain works, I found myself going beyond the surface of that story and getting to the core. It really made me think.Vice was filled with the signature elements of passion, seduction, and sensuality--all the things that we have come to expect from this author. I also see the growth in her writing. Trinity stepped out of the box with this collection of stories and tried something new with her pen--giving us a whole lot of new characters to fall in love with. So, if you have not read any of this authors work....you are missing out. Do yourself a favor and get acquainted with her pen. You will not regret it!!Ready for the next one!!!

I didn't know what to expect from one story to the next and that is the beauty of short stories. Although the stories are short, Trinity Wise still brings the same heat! My favorite are "The Man of My Dreams" and "Thundersnow" because of the sci-fi/fantasy/paranormal twist. I would love to see how Wise would freak a full-length novel using the basis of these two stories. I was a bit shocked to discover Snow's background as well as her connection to Gabriel, from the Washington Brothers series, I definitely didn't see that coming. Great read!

Don't sleep on this author. You will be totally happy with this one click purchase. All of her books are a great read!

The Third Target: A J. B. Collins Novel, by Joel C. Rosenberg

Review Known for his globe-spanning thrillers ("The Twelfth Imam"), many dealing with the interplay between radical Islam and the West, Rosenberg has ripped a page from current headlines with a heart-stopping plot about the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also commonly called ISIS). When "New York Times" reporter J. B. Collins is given unprecedented access to world leaders and terrorists, it puts him in a position to advise even the president of the United States about looming chemical weapons attacks and a "third target" besides Syria and Iraq. The plot is executed with well-paced precision, includes a mysterious Israeli love interest named Yael, and has more than enough to satisfy those who love over-the-top action, down to the last shocking word of the book. Rosenberg's writing skills are impeccable, yet some Christian readers may wonder whether the grisly violence he depicts and the xenophobia it stokes contradict the Christian gospel messages found in the book.--Publishers Weekly

Review Whenever I see a new Joel Rosenberg book coming out, I know I need to clear time on my cal-endar. His penetrating knowledge of all things Mideastern, coupled with his intuitive knack for high-stakes intrigue, demand attention. (Porter Goss, former director of the CIA)

Already they have attacked two governments, brutally killing anyone who stands in their way. Now they have their sights set on a third target. But who will it be? The United States? Israel? Conquests and Consequences By William Struse You know it's not your normal every day novel when a former CIA director endorses the book and its plot is ripped from the pages of today's headlines. In this, his latest book, Joel Rosenberg paints a chilling picture of what the Middle East might look like if current trends continue. With an insider's knowledge and a sizzling pen, Mr. Rosenberg spins a vivid tale of politics, intrigue, deception and betrayal. From the devastated concrete jungles of Syria and the desert sands of Jordan, to the carpeted halls of Washington D.C. and the dark cursed cells of Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, this edge of your seat thriller follows the terrifying and bloody trail left by ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Woven into this heart pounding tale is an underlying thread of modern Middle Eastern history told from the perspective of a talented author and Washington insider. Personally, I couldn't help but sometimes wonder where the fiction ended and a veiled version of the real story began. This novel really builds the tension and action towards the last part of the book and leaves some major unanswered questions for what I hope will be a sequel.I can say this was an entertaining read with an underlying history that deserves our attention. Told from a Biblical Christian world view this novel offers a unique take on current events that will leave you thinking long after you've finished the last page.

110 of 115 people found the following review helpful. Joel Rosenberg Needs to Stop Writing... By Joshua Olds Joel Rosenberg needs to stop writing. I mean it. Seriously. I don’t mean his novels are bad. I mean that everything he writes has a tendency to work its way into reality. Like writing about terrorists hijacking a plane nine months before 9/11 (The Last Jihad), or the death of Yasser Arafat thirteen months prior to it becoming reality (The Last Days), or the rise of a dictator in Iran who wants to wipe Israel off the map (The Ezekiel Option). My point being, Rosenberg has his thumb on the pulse of the Middle East chaos and he’s never been too far from wrong. The Third Target begins with the premise that ISIS has obtained weapons of mass destruction and plan on using it to further establish their caliphate and destroy Israel. A relevant premise to be sure. ISIS has been all over the news recently as they’ve marched through Mosul and have expanded their territory and left unspeakable horrors in their wake. But we’ve only known about ISIS for about six months now—much, much quicker than the time it takes to research, plot, write, rewrite, edit, format, and publish a novel. And Rosenberg’s publishing team at Tyndale even expedited the process. Originally scheduled for a mid-March release date, the explosion of ISIS into the public knowledge drove them to amp up the production schedule and get the novel out in early January. I, myself, managed to read an advance copy in late October. And only time will tell how much of Rosenberg’s novel comes true. Now, of course, this is a novel. Rosenberg does not pretend that he’s telling the future and, I’m sure, shakes his head at all the pundits that call him a “modern-day Nostradamus.” His novels are a possible and, if left unchecked, likely scenario, which is why Rosenberg writes the worst-case scenario while actively campaigning for the best-case option. The Third Target is exquisitely researched, wonderfully written, and terrifyingly real.J.B. Collins is a foreign correspondent for The New York Times. He’s been to hell and back and gotten the Pulitzer to prove it. But all that’s going to be a cakewalk compared to what’s about to happen to him. He’s got a source insisting that ISIS has obtained chemical weapons. Against his boss’s orders and his better judgment, he sneaks into Syria in order to interview ISIS’s commander. And it all goes downhill from there.Meanwhile, the American government continues to downplay the ISIS threat, insisting that there’s no way the radical sect could have weapons of mass destruction. As Collins uncovers the story, he finds himself fighting a battle on two fronts as he struggles to survive in the East and have his message heard in the West. The story begins to coalesce around the important nation of Jordan, a tenuous ally to Israel and the U.S. and the only buffer betwixt Israel and radical Islam. The story’s multiple fronts—peace talks between Israel and Palestine, the looming ISIS threat, and Collins’ own personal brokenness and loss—all converge and rush forward to an intense and pulse-pounding climax that seems ripped from the newspaper headlines.Let me finish by saying this: the story isn’t over. I won’t ruin the ending for you, but Rosenberg is clear that he plans on writing more, on diving deeper, on throwing Collins into even deeper danger. And I don’t know whether to be scared or excited. I’m excited for where the story is going. It’s an incredible story. I just want it to stay between the covers.

The beginning of the story is actually a flashback. The Associated Press reporter, A.B. Collins is suddenly granted an interview with His Royal Highness, the King of Jordan, who will meet him at the Dome of the Rock. Unfortunately for Collins, he is blocked by a mob, who aren't particularly friendly to him. Of course, Collins does what anyone would do--the punches a tough-looking thug and starts a riot. Luckily for Collins, a bunch of Jordanian guards "beat back the crowd with wooden clubs and soon were beating him, too, until they could pull him off me and clamp handcuffs on him." The meeting with the King, however, does not go according to plan.Time now shifts to the present, and we encounter NY Times journalist J.B. Collins--grandson of the journalist we saw in Part I. Like his grandfather many years ago, THIS Collins is off to an interview--not with a king, but with "one of the world's most feared jihadi commanders." The CIA has advised Collins not to go; his NY Times editor has similarly ordered him not to go. Of course, Collins conducts the interview with the ISIS leader. The terrorist denies having any chemical weapons, despite Collins' pushing him to admit having WMD. The reporter gets assurances from Mossad that ISIS has poison gas, and wants to use it.Collins' interview with the ISIS leader is soon published, but things only get more dangerous for Collins (if possible.) During a meeting with a beautiful Mossad agent, he is nearly killed by a car bomb. Barely recovered, he is then "abducted" to the White House to meet with POTUS--the President of the United States, who is anxious to not rock the boat until the Middle East Peach agreement is signed. The danger increases as Collins pushes to confirm the story of WMD--in spite of warnings and attempts on his life. In Israel, the Mossad confirms that ISIS has poison gas, and Collins prepares to unleash his story. But first, he goes to Iraq to interview the #1 ISIS terrorist, now in Abu Ghraib prison. Surprisingly, the ISIS leader admits they have the weapons. In fact, Collins is soon forced to witness the effects of the gas.And so continues the action in THE THIRD TARGET. The details are sometimes horrific, and the main character has to consider the possibility of his own death. Collins begins to question the purpose of his own existence--what is he on Earth for? Are any of these events really foretold by the Bible?✔ All in all THE THIRD TARGET is a fun, exciting ride from Jordan to Syria--and from there to the White House. The writing is excellent, and the scenes are exciting. There are tons of characters, so to keep you from getting lost, the author helpfully provides a "Cast of Characters" at the very beginning of the book. These include the journalists, the Americans, the Jordanians, the Terrorists, the Palestinians, and the Israelis. The author also provides interesting historical tidbits along the way. For example, the history of Jordan, and the background of some of the locations in Israel.I really enjoyed this book! Highly Recommend!

Patrick Killough Sir Walter Scott's short novel of 1816, THE BLACK DWARF, begins by presenting the back side of a tapestry: colors dull, patterns obscure. Mysterious, too, but not without clues leading from one isolated insight to another. Only at novel's end is the tapestry turned and all piercingly revealed.Let's look at the mysteries as they appear to the principal female of the BLACK DWARF, beautiful teen-age Miss Isabella Vere of Ellieslaw Castle. What does she know of herself and her family? Her long dead mother is buried in the castle's chapel in a tomb of Italianate beauty (Ch. 17). Her wealthy, stern father is a political schemer, aiming to become more powerful to restore the male line of the Stuarts. To that end he is pressuring Isabella to wed the odious Jacobite, Sir Frederick Langley. Yet Isabella herself is fonder of a young nobleman named Earnscliff. She is being visited by two cousins, Nancy and Lucy Ilderton. Lucy in particular knows that Isabella hates the one and loves the other. There is also some dark but hushed up ancient stain on Isabella's father's honor; he was almost killed in a brawl when his best friend, Sir Edward Mauley, saved his life by slaying his opponent. After a year's imprisonment for manslaughter, Sir Edward disappeared. Meanwhile Isabella's father had married Isabella's mother, a kinswoman of Sir Edward.Isabella unknowingly meets her destiny one day in 1707 riding in the wilds of Scotland near the English border with her two cousins. They come upon a tiny hut recently constructed on Mucklestane Moor. They had heard that it was built by a strong but hideous misanthropic dwarf who calls himself Elshender the Recluse. In the few months he has been there, despite his constantly invoking the deserved doom of the entire human race, he has done much grudgingly offered good to the local people by way of healing and advice. From them he has earned from the names Canny Elshie and the Wise Wight of Mucklestane Moor (Ch. 5).The dwarf dismisses with sarcasm the cousins after Lucy offers to pay to have her fortune told. But Elshender detains Miss Vere, whom he calls Isabel. He has known her parents.Does he also know her, Isabella asks. "Yes; this is the first time you have crossed my waking eyes, but I have seen you in my dreams." He added that he was no common fortune-teller but knew that her life was beset with real and potential evils. These included "unsuccessful love, crossed affections, the gloom of a convent, or an odious alliance." Her sad situation combined with her kind words to him made the ugly little man shed a rare tear. Those tears had been a good deed done to him by her. The dwarf rewarded her with a rose from his garden and the promise that if ever she needed him, she should deliver to him in person that rose or one of its petals.Who is this Wise Wight of Mucklestane Moor? Why does he except Isabella Vere from his general self-pitying loathing of the human race. It would spoil the ending to provide more clues. Suffice it to say that THE BLACK DWARF is a masterly study of what happens when a deformed but sensitive, generous young nobleman is betrayed by fiancee and best friend, loses his mind, partially recovers it and is caught up in a planned rebellion of Scots against Queen Anne and the recently created United Kingdom. -OOO-

Lee What a pity that young people and some adults can't go back to the Classics for novels such as Sir Walter Scott's "The Black Dwarf."Slightly difficult to become involved in but after the first two chapters it starts to become exciting.Better than "Dungeons and Dragons" but not as good as "Ivanhoe" yet with some imagination it is very engaging.Scott is a master of description and forces the reader to get into his English syntax which is not familiar to Americans. When I read one of today's popular novels I feel as if a 15 year old wrote it.Definitely recommend this book!!!!!!!!!Also any of Walter Scotts other novels.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Not your typical Walter Scott story By Edward Hetzler Many of the characters speak in dialect. This makes the Black Dwarf challenging to read. It also requires familiarity with 18th century English / Scottish history to understand what motivates some of the characters. The story is slow to start, but once you get past the beginning it moves along at a good pace. The plot is thin for a romance novel and revolves around hidden identities and misunderstandings. It is more like a Jane Austen story then a Walter Scott story. This is a great book for learning to use the power of the Kindle to define words and look up background information.

WHEN I began this Translation, more than two years ago, I had no intention of publishing it; but as the work progressed, it occurred to me that Arrian is an Author deserving of more attention from the English-speaking races than he has yet received. No edition of his works has, so far as I am aware, ever appeared in England, though on the Continent many have been published. In the following Translation I have tried to give as literal a rendering of the Greek text as I could without transgressing the idioms of our own language. My theory of the duty of a Translator is, to give the ipsissima verba of his Author as nearly as possible, and not put into his mouth words which he never used, under the mistaken notion of improving his diction or his way of stating his case. It is a comparatively easy thing to give a paraphrase of a foreign work, presenting the general drift of the original; but no one, unless he has himself tried it, can understand the difficulty of translating a classical Author correctly without omission or mutilation. In the Commentary which I have compiled, continual reference has been made to the other extant authorities on the history of Alexander, such as Diodorus, Plutarch, Curtius, Justin, and Aelian; so that I think I may safely assert that, taking the Translation and the Notes together, the book forms a complete history of Alexander’s reign. Much geographical and other material has also been gathered from Herodotus, Strabo, Pliny, and Ammianus; and the allusions to the places which are also mentioned in the Old Testament are given from the Hebrew. As Arrian lived in the second century of the present era, and nearly five hundred years after Demosthenes, it is not to be expected that he wrote classical Greek. There are, however, at least a dozen valuable Greek authors of this century whose works are still extant, and of these it is a safe statement to make, that Arrian is the best of them all, with the single exception of Lucian. I have noticed as many of his deviations from Attic Greek constructions as I thought suitable to a work of this kind. A complete index of Proper Names has been added, and the quantities of the vowels marked for the aid of the English Reader. In the multiplicity of references which I have put into the Notes, I should be sanguine if I imagined that no errors will be found; but if such occur, I must plead as an excuse the pressure of work which a teacher in a large school experiences, leaving him very little energy for literary labour.E. J. C.DUMFRIES,December, 1883.

In 1884, when men were the only people allowed to vote in national elections, Belva Lockwood took a bold but legal step: She ran for president! Though her campaign was difficult, Belva never wavered in her commitment to equality, earning the respect of many fellow citizens. A little-known but richly deserving American historical figure, Belva is an inspiration for modern-day readers.

Ballots for Belva: The True Story of a Woman's Race for the Presidency, by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen

From School Library Journal Grade 2–5—Starting with an anecdote in which 10-year-old Belva Lockwood tried to "move a mountain," this picture-book biography introduces the woman who ran for president more than a century ago. That mountain-moving determination emerges as the recurring theme of her public life as she obtained a law degree, fought for equal rights, and ultimately became the first woman to receive certified votes during her 1884 presidential campaign. The book focuses largely on that presidential run, though many of Lockwood's other accomplishments are mentioned, such as arguing a case before the Supreme Court and her trendsetting use of an early version of a tricycle. A closing author's note and a time line fill in more details. The narrative generally provides just enough information to convey Lockwood's achievements and the challenges she faced. Though groundbreaking, her candidacy inspired opposition and ridicule, not just from men, but from women and even other suffragists. Quotes from Lockwood and others enliven the text. Her letter to President Grant regarding the denial of her law school diploma, for example, neatly demonstrates her polite but forceful personality. Handsome illustrations clearly set the time and place, and Lockwood's fortitude comes through in her posture and facial expressions. She is an appealing historical figure, and, with little available about her for younger readers, this is an especially timely and useful biography.—Steven Engelfried, Multnomah County Library, OR Copyright © Reed Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc. From Booklist As a girl, Belva Lockwood learned that she couldn’t move mountains, but as a woman, she challenged gender roles in nineteenth-century America as the first woman lawyer to appear before the Supreme Court and the first woman to “officially” run for president. This picture-book biography includes these highlights as well as a few of Lockwood’s interesting characteristics, such as her use of a tricycle to navigate Washington, D.C. It also gives a good overview of the politics of the era and points out the irony that a woman could run for president at a time when women could not yet vote. Digital–and–pencil art portray period dress and political scenes, some showing a bright-eyed Lockwood among somber, stuffy male colleagues. Pair this with Catherine Thimmesh’s Madam President (2004) for units on presidential elections and women’s history Grades 1-3. --Linda Perkins

By BookAce A charming and beautifully illustrated book about an incredibly brave no-nonsense, "NEVER take No for an Answer" woman who ran for president in the late 19th century (even though women could not vote at the time) and received a surprising amount of votes. As a child, Belva believed she could move mountains. As an adult, she met and conquered equally formidable obstacles. She was not the FIRST woman to run for the presidency -- Victoria Woodhull was, in 1872 -- but unlike Victoria, who dropped out of the race, Belva made it all the way to the ballot box garnering more than 4,000 votes (remembere these were MEN voting, as women still did not have the vote back then).Belva received support as well as censure, but she never let anything discourage her! She proved to be as formidable as those mountains (literal and figurative) that she faced all through her life and her career. The beautifully rendered illustrations are lively, colorful, and tell a story of their own. (And I LOVE the way that cute little cat keeps popping up through the pages and through the ages.)This is a book that should be required reading in all elementary schools.Well done!!!

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. an inspiring story of a pioneer for women's rights By M. Tanenbaum Hilary Rodham Clinton, of course, was not the first woman to run for president. But did you know that way back in 1884, years before women won the right to vote, a daring woman ran for president, and even received thousands of votes?Ballots for Belva: The True Story of a Woman's Race for the Presidency, by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen, illustrated by Courtney A. Martin (Abrams, 2008), tells this remarkable story in an easy-to-follow picture book format, which can be enjoyed by all ages. After working as a teacher and starting a suffrage group, Belva Lockwood decided she wanted to be a lawyer at age 39. But no law school would admit a woman in those days, except the newly formed National University law school. Belva enrolled there with fourteen other women, but was one of only two who finished the courses, since the women were made to feel uncomfortable by the male students. But when she finished, the school refused to give her a diploma, and she had to petition President Ulysses S. Grant, who was also president of the law school, in order to receive it.Belva was a woman who accomplished many "firsts." She was the first woman to practice law in federal court and the first woman to argue a case before the U.S. Supreme Court. She was an activist for women's rights who tried unsuccessfully to get the Republican Party to put women's suffrage on its official platform. In frustration at being ignored, she realized that there was no legal basis preventing women from running from office, even though they couldn't vote. And in 1884, she was nominated by the Equal Rights Party of the United States. She selected another woman, Marietta Stow, as her running mate, and began campaigning across the country, working hard to raise money and organize supporters.Although she was ridiculed by the press and even by many of her fellow suffragettes, Belva persisted. And indeed, she won 4,711 votes, cast in nine different states, despite the fact that some vote counters threw away ballots with her name on them, not believing anyone would vote for a woman. This made her the first woman to run for president who actually got people to vote for her--and men, since they were the only ones voting at the time. [An earlier female presidential candidate, Victoria Woodhull, ran in 1872, but had to drop out before the election due to lack of funds.]Belva was certainly ahead of her time, believing that some day a woman would occupy the White House as president and proving that women had the determination and courage to campaign for the position. The book includes an author's note, glossary of terms, a useful timeline of women's suffrage in the United States, and a selected bibliography.Bardhan-Quallen offers us an inspiring story of a true pioneer in women's rights, one that would be a terrific story to share with young girls today. The book is handsomely illustrated as well, with attractive two-page spreads that give a monumental quality to Belva's story.

I bought several for gifts By Meri Shopper I have given this book to my grandchildren, my friend's grandchildren and even kept one for myself to read to any children who happen to come over and want a story read to them. It is beautifully illustrated, written so that the story itself is very interesting (even to the adult who is reading it) and it is steeped in history, now who can hate that? " Ballots for Belva" rates more than 5 stars as far as I'm concerned, it gives children a piece of history that is not taught in any schools and it does it in a beautifully fun way. I highly recommend "Ballots for Belva" the story is true, you can research "Belva Lockwood" on the internet, she was an interesting person.

Mindblowing By babyssmile 10 Fabulous Amazing Stars but 5 on hereThis book was given to me for my honest review by the authorMasks are an interesting thing. Sure we all wear them at specialty parties like Halloween, New Years, and theme parties but what happens in our everyday lives has to be the most interesting of masks of them all. On Social media sites as in everyday life we can be who ever we want to be and no one asks questions to get to know someone. The masks that we wear in our everyday life are a façade of who we really are deep within ourselves but the question that remains is why? Is being our normal self that bad? Has the world come to this that we can’t see ourselves as the person we were born to be? The answer lies within each of us.This is the 2nd book in the 69 Bottles Series the first is Claiming Addison and has to be read 1stTalon, Kyle and Addison return in this continuing journey to finding their centering hearts with each other. As much as Talon and Kyle’s hearts become one with Addison twists and turns come about that leave major conflicts within each of their hearts. Can these two hunky men put their brains behind them and allow their hearts to soar even with the twists that come about? Can they forgive themselves even when neither is to blame? Will Talon and Kyle’s relationship soar to new heights and erotic moments with and without Addison or is Addison the binding heart? Is forever and a day on the horizon for this amazing trio inside the bedroom and outside? Or will the most erotic sex of this trio keep behind the hidden walls? Will Kyle take a step in a direction that has become new to his heart will he open up his heart and let it guide him to finding his forever within? Will Talon conqueror his fear of the unknown and allow his sacred heart to soar? Will Addison find her truest of hearts within these amazing men? This is their unique journey.Craving is uniqueness it such a valid quality in all of as individuals but as in an authors writing a craving of desire can be much more than words on a page. The feelings that they possess when writing a story that is passionate in their true hearts but then again it could be a solidarity of themselves. To the Author: You have taken me to new heights. You have brought laughter and tears, awe’s and “Oh No He Did Not” to my thoughts so many times I wanted to scream and just as I knew where this beloved trio was headed you threw in yet another twist that made me wanting more. You brought forth a new revelation to readers and to many couples that will read your book and think we could have, should have and why didn’t we? This trio’s journey is fabulous and you have major kudos from me and your readers will surely enjoy this one of a kind read just as much as I have.To the Readers: Sit back, get your screaming towel out, your comfy chair and your favorite snacks. Turn off your cell phones and put the do not disturb sign on the door. Now sit back and enjoy this journey.Did I mention it is not over yet? Did I mention the sex is mind blowing, volcanic and hotter than the coals in your barbeque?Happy Reading

By Shurrn I'm so enamored with this series!Such a lovely combination of sweet romance, laughter, awesome dialogue, rock star antics, and of course... panty-melting Erotica. There's no sophomore slump with this series. Craving Talon picks up right where the last book left off and continues the story of Addison, Talon, and Kyle. I know we're only two books into this series, but I've officially added it to my Favorite Romance Series Bookshelf. In my review of Claiming Addison (69 Bottles, Book #1) which you can read here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1125837467I professed my love for so many of the elements which make this a stand-out story. I don't want to be redundant, but let's do a quick recap, shall we?1. I love a good MMF Romance, and this one is phenomenal.2. The combination of emotion and humor keep this story light and fun.3. The lead female MC, Addison is a wonderfully strong character.4. The split POVs provide insight into everyone's experiences.5. The dialog in this series is absolutely extraordinary. Smart, funny, fast-paced, and a joy to read.MMF Romances appeal to me because they have a certain kind of angst involved in the relationship department. They have to be well-written or everything falls apart. It's easy to write a spicy threesome, but it takes talent to write an engaging (and at least mildly believable) Romance between three characters. The reader has to LIKE all three of the parties involved. If any of the three MCs rub the reader the wrong way, we will immediately start hoping that the trio turns into a happy duo. There are so many pieces of information which must come together to satisfy the reader's desire to know that this (yes, I know it's fictional) relationship, however uncommon, is built to last. That's a lot of suspension of disbelief. It is hard enough to accomplish a believable love story between two parties...But this is about THREE.Three personalities...Three back-stories...One relationship...And, yes, one bed...Zoey Derrick, in her infinite awesomeness, saw this challenge and said (I assume) "Not only am I gonna write an amazing MMF Romance, I'm going to throw in a curve ball just to make sure everyone knows how awesome I am!"Are you ready for this?Double Gay-For-You.That's right, folks, Talon and Kyle had their bisexual leanings before hooking up with each other (and Addison) but they never acted on them. This means that BOTH men are navigating brand new emotional and sexual situations. The fact that all three characters are a little off-balance with this relationship is yet another strength in a long list of reasons I'm loving this series.Oftentimes an MMF Romance will feature an established couple who bring a third into the fold.I think it's sweet that all three characters are finding their way together.Addison had the majority of the POV in this book, and I still adore her character. She's everyting I look for in a strong, smart, and funny female MC...Geez, is there room for a fourth in this relationship? Her job as the band's Public Relations agent is taking a bit of a backseat to all the changes in her life.In the last few weeks she set off on a nationwide tour,Hooked up with the band's manager and lead singer (at the same time),She was thrust into the spotlight with an impromptu duet, and suddenly she's an overnight superstar. Her boss, Cami, is trying to sign her to a record deal,She is getting her first taste of celebrity,And her boys just want to keep her in bed...Talon is the front-man and lead singer for 69 Bottles, and he is on top of the world. He's on a nation-wide tour, his band just got their first #1 hit, and every moment off stage is spent with Kyle and Addison. Talon isn't accustomed to being surrounded by so much love, and he's determined to soak up every moment of it.No regrets. No turning back.In the last book, Kyle and Talon set their sights on seducing Addison; in this book, the boys are spending more time exploring each other...Kyle is definitely the calming force in this relationship. He played peacekeeper more than once, and it's understandable how he could easily take on that role - as the band's manager, he's used to keeping everyone in order. He and Talon have known each other for years, and sliding into a romantic relationship had fewer hiccups than one might expect. It helps that they're wildly attracted to each other and are eager to experiment...Oh the experimentation, people!I have no idea how this book managed to be even hotter than the last book...We're talking all kinds of toys, accessories, combinations of MMF, the boys even had some time to themselves...Which reminds me!I have one single complaint about this book:I distinctly remember telling the author that buying a copy of this book should come with a complimentary change of panties... Or at least spare batteries... Alas, there are no book-panty-battery combo packs available. *sigh* I'm a little disappointed ;)On the non-smutty side of things, I was thrilled that Kyle and Addison finally had a chance to sit down and talk about their shared pasts - Addison's fiancé, who died years ago, was Kyle's brother... Addison and Kyle had never met before going on tour together, but it was definitely a topic which needed to be discussed.I can barely contain my excitement as I wait for the next book. It's been a long time since I've been so excited about a series!

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. freaking awesome! By MRS M D ATTENBOROUGH Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian I Dig Good Books.OH. MY.DAYS.Seriously, I'm stunned. A mahooosive book hangover this morning and I had to buy books to get over it!This is Book 2, and you must, I mean MUST read Claiming Addison first. It is essential for you to understand these three better in their relationship and in their work life.Following on IMMEDIATELY from book 1, its almost like reading a much longer book, rather than 2 shorter ones although they are 300 odd pages apiece, it didn't feel like that when reading.Talon, Kyle and Addison continue to grow and develop bond, physically (WHOA there!!) and emotionally. I loved watching them grow, not just between Addison and the two guys, but between Kyle and Talon as well. The physical relationship continued to burn up my kindle, and me too. Although its so freaking hot and very VERY well written, the emotions all come across too. Its so beautifully written! As well as their growing personal relationship, there is Addison's growing singing career, an attack and a stalker, more bodyguards and a shed load of money to spend!OH!!And an issue with some medication. Thats where this one ends, right there, and my poor partner had his ear drum blown out for my squealing, and the kindle only survived because it was plugged in. My poor cat, Jezzie, who was sitting on my knee at the time, ended up clear across the room. And no, I didn't throw her, she jumped when I squealed!Book one wasn't so much of a hangover, but this one is. I didn't see it coming, I had 9 minutes left in the bloody book! Be warned. Now, I just need to say this. I love Nicole Edwards and her menáge books but Zoey Derrick is coming into her own, and will, I fully believe, give Edwards a run for her money. You just watch if she doesn't.Book 3 is ut soon, and I hope to be reading that too.5 stars, with 64 scattered around.
