Do you think reading thick books would make you pass the test? It's never a guarantee in passing the test. There are a lot of nurses all over the world. And they have to take several tests to be licensed in particular domains and have a specialty certification on a specific area of nursing. To be successful in a certain career, it is not enough just having the license to practice but also continuously learning and progressively acquiring certificates.I have never found any book which is as brief and simple as this one. It makes my life easier. The body system seems to be as simple as ABC. Well, as simple as you can get with explaining the body system...This study guide seems to have everything you need. You can't ask for more. From its body system explanations, to its practice tests, answers and explanations and more importantly its 5 secret key to success and a lot more. Its 5 secret key to success is really cool. You should not miss learning about them. There's a bunch of general test-taking strategies presented in this study guide that will help you. You will know how to make predictions, answer the question, avoid "fact traps", benchmark, milk the question, eliminate answers, brainstorm and it's already too many to mention.But to some people this book might seem thin but what they don't realize is that the content is "thick" enough as it seems to cover everything needed for the test. Success lies in your hands. It's all our choice on how we can be successful. My choice is to have a thinner book first (before going through the thick ones). Anyway, everyone has their own review techniques. It's all up to you. But remember, everything you do now, counts. Time is gold. Don't just waste it.

Excluding grammar errors and layout, a decent review book By arc Well, I passed the exam last week so the content is accurate and what it needs to be. I want to give it less stars than 4 due to the copious grammar/spelling mistakes, however the typos do not compromise the material itself. Looking past that, the information is accurate and has appropriate weight of content assigned to each topic. The review questions decently reflected the exam questions as well, and even may have been slightly more difficult- which I always prefer to make sure you really know the material that is being tested. If you look at the PCCN exam outline vs this review book pretty much all information is covered except for 12 lead EKG, and in some parts the pulmonary section does not have great differentiation between things like ARDS vs pulmonary edema.Overall, this would get you where you need to be I believe, but I would recommend supplementing this with another review component-which is what I did. Cons are primarily aesthetic: the poor editing and poor layout, as there are not set distinctions between sections just italicized headings of pulmonary/neurology/gastrointestinal etc.
