You can take all of the classes you want, but until you put what you learned into practical situations and actually use it, you won't know how you will do. One way teachers help you see what you know is to test you. When I planned to take this particular business test, I knew I wanted to review as much material as possible so that I could do as well as possible. I wanted to prove that I could survive the business world...to my teachers as well as to myself. I found this study guide and realized I had a great, comprehensive guide on my hands. Not only that, but it didn't cost very much! It was well worth the money I spent. It took me through the content I needed to know and it also had a practice test I could take to see where I stood on the subject. The test was great because on the questions I got wrong, I was able to read explanations as to why other answers were right. That helped me understand where I went wrong and why the other answers were much better. The guide also helped me follow through with my studying because it offered secrets and tips to help me retain as much information as I could. I would definitely recommend this study guide for other business students that need to take this test.

An excellent account and analysis By David HUNT I thoroughly enjoyed this book.It's a factual accumulation of events leading up to delivery of the two bombsthat persuaded Japan to halt aggressions, complete with analyses of damage on the ground.No fiction here.I found it interesting that Nagasaki suffered greater damage,despite factors that might have made it seem otherwise.

No dramatically written piece, only the clear facts as to the effects of the bombing and the actions of using the atomic bomb. More scientific information than anything else. Not for the faint of heart expecting a story of some sort, only facts. Simply the plain simple facts of what happened and the aftermath.

Everyone will carry away something from this book.The first part reviews details of the two bombings. Observations made after by occupying forces as well "scientific" statements that really didn't seem plausible based on growing up in the 1960's :)Part two seems to be from John Hershey's Hiroshima. It was an interesting narrative by a German missionary in Nagasaki of the bombing and days immediately after.Part one was better :)A quick read, and the bits of technical and detail information through out will keep you riveted.

By ashleyms625 I bought this book to study for RVT exam and I am on the fence about it. Everything is in paragraph form, no charts or anything broken down. It is straight fact after fact and a lot of repitition. I guess its okay if you learn well with that format but I like to have things broken down into sections and charts to help me remember. There are no pictures, which I wasn't happy about since the board exams have pictures.. I guess if you are not a very visual learning person this is a good book for you, but me being very visual this doesn't really help me.

Excellent Study Guide By Bob Wittion The Secrets of the ARDMS Adult Vascular Exam guide is a very valuable resource to have when preparing for this exam. It is straight forward, easy to use and easy to understand. It's not extremely long so going through it multiple times is very possible, I would actually suggest doing so to help information retention. I found it to be a great study aid as it helped my dissect each category individually so I could get a better overall understanding of the material.

By Nawal The Akan of Ghana is an excellent read and exceptional body of work. The authenticity of dialogue and historical background of customs as told by a native of the Akan is both refreshing and culturally enriching. Based upon the historical context and social relevance of the Akan of Ghana this could surely serve as a support reading for an African Studies, African History or African/Black Culture or Civilizations collegiate level course. The wealth of the impact of the Akan in relation to the ancient civilizations of Kemet (Egypt) Nubia, and Kush (Ethiopia) as detailed by author Kofi Ayim is highly intriguing, as it introduces a fascinating revelation and little known fact about the contribution of this group to modern day Africa. I was astounded at the number of shared cultural practices of ancient Egyptians, Ethiopians and Hebrews with the Akan and I had no idea that the Akan were in a sense a nomadic group that settled in Ghana. The similarities are profound and the presentation of the fact based analysis of language and religious origins are flawless.I will share this book with family, friends and a few of my old Professors in order to gauge their reactions to such a provocative text. Please purchase this book, especially if you are African or of African descent because it truly does capture "lightning in a bottle". You will not be dissatisfied! Thank You for a wonderfully written book Mr. Ayim! I look forward to the next book!

This book has enlightened me on the origin of the the Akan tribe, and their journey all the to west Africa. I had wished this book was in "existence" when some of us were in school studying about Ghana and it's tribes. Until I read this book, I was not knowledgeable about some of the Akan proverbial quotes, more or less it's meanings. My children sometimes, try using some of quote to prove a point and the way the say it with their American accent makes me laugh.There's a lot of information in this book about the Akan's of Ghana .More so, it is well written, systematically and independently explained with references from chapter to chapter. I will advice that if you are writing a theory or thesis on the Akan tribe you better refer to this book.

Not as strong as shelf life pediatrics or obgyn, but has additional outline in the back for quick review. If you are studying for the IM shelf, this is a decent short resource for the first week of the rotation as it hits on some integral points. The questions are too easy / straight forward and the scope too narrow to rely on for comprehensive shelf prep, however. It fits in white coat pocket and can provide entertainment on a slow service, but do not substitute for IM essentials / MKSAP or UWorld.

Lets face it, you don't have much time to do anything outside of the hospital anyways and studying is definitely not on the list of fun things to do. When you're faced with this situation, you need a resource that is comprehensive, reliable, and quick. THIS IS IT! I used this book throughout the clerkship and read the chapters one by one. A case here and chapter there. Took the test timed then went through the high yield information before the exam. This was perfect. It was a great supplement to my learning and it got me the score I needed to shine! These guys created an amazing book. I wish I knew about this for my other clerkships. Good luck everyone!

By Federica Brocchini A quick but at the same time detailed and complete insight of the Chinese market, would recommend this book to all business men thinking about doing business in this country. Although my experience in China was limited to 4 months and was not business related (stayed in Beijing to attend a Master program), while reading I could not avoid thinking "how true!". Interesting and funny, will take you even less than 60 min to read!

Plus, the story-telling narrative style was not only engaging but it also made the information easy to remember. Suffering with a broken heart at the death of her dearest friend and a tortured soul as a result of the many fruitless searches for her long lost son, Eve retreats to the small town of Poitiers. When the Germans invade in 1940, she becomes a radio operator for the regional resistance group commanded by Olivier Leon, joined with the more extensive and well organised parties known as the ‘Maquisards’. Unknown to Eve, the son she has never seen, never touched or held close has been named Gaston Voclain and educated by a dedicated religious order at Cimiez, a Monastery near Nice. When the invasion of France becomes inevitable, Gaston escapes to the United States of America and due to his exceptional language skills, the young Frenchman is quickly spotted by US Colonel Thompson, who is to form a secret code breaking unit. This is the first step to Gaston being enrolled in the newly formed ‘Office of Strategic Services’, the OSS and forerunner of the CIA. He is to be known to others only by his agent code name ‘Pierre’ and, with the help of the British SOE, makes several ‘insertions’ inside German occupied northern France. What will eventually bring Eve and agent ‘Pierre’ together? Will it be fate or the vile and cunning machinations of the regional Gestapo chief, Herr Steiger? Review by Glover WrightAuthor Quentin Cope's move into Ken Follett WW2 saga territory pays off in spades in "Deliver by Moonlight", the first of three new Cope novels linking his well-defined characters through tumultuous world events as decades and eras pass.It would be unfair to Cope and his many avid readers to give away his plot (difficult too as it is wide-ranging and absorbing) but at its constantly hard-beating heart is his heroine, Eve Charbonneau, growing from a spoilt only child middle-class girl of Jewish descent into a heroine in the French resistance - but first falling pregnant along her youthful precocious way to a dashing wealthy French aristocrat, Thierry Marquis de Vergy-Laval, who commits suicide when confronted with the situation unacceptable to his high station. Predictably, her illigitimate boy-child is ripped from Eve by her shamed parents and passed secretly into the care of a religious order of French monks and nuns near Nice. Her fall continues as she drifts homeless and despairing into life in a Paris bordello, constantly longing for her lost son, leading inevitably - as her fortunes improve in a most unlikely way - to her lifetime search for him with fateful consequences for both mother and son as the scourge of Nazism engulfs Europe.
