Review Great western story. Good action about how the west was.I recommend this novel to western fans. I wish to read more.
From the Author I wanted to write a short story western series with a lot of different subjects. What entered my mind was the thought that this series, had to contain subjects out of the normal form of most westerns. The problem immediately began with trying to decide on where to start, and with what subject. I then thought, since I already have some short stories written, they're just sitting around. Why not look back through them, and just combine a few of these stories into one. Now this is where the fun began, and it really was fun trying to piece together a few into one. Oh; I tried, to put this one into that one. A few combinations didn't make any sense at all. This is when It turned into a jigsaw puzzle trying to fit the pieces together. But it took a total of three different stories to get Luke Pressor U.S. Marshal, modifying each story as I went along. I sincerely hope that I have accomplished that goal bringing you something different.

By VMLM Weary travelers decide to settle at a place when they could not go on any farther due to treacherous weather conditions. They named this place Solution. But there wasn’t any peace there due to bullying, threats of violence and a range war going on. Now to the town, Hell is on its way. Marshall Luke Pressor has reformed his stony and cunning approach and the reason is all about Solution. He’d been recognized for continuously carrying in his culprits hanging over the saddle or else seriously injured, but something has changed him and that something is Solution. This is the 2nd book that I’ve read of author, John D. Fie Jr. and it is just as good as the first. His writing style is quick paced and flows smoothly. The story is gripping and at times intense however very easy to follow. I wasn’t actually much of a western genre fan but I think John may have changed that. His stories would make great movies.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Not much action By Dude from Denver I really had a hard time reading to the end of this one. It started slow and just got worse. I'm not sure about the main character, but I thought 5 guns a bit much to carry around !! This was like someone telling a story. Instead of reading about it, we heard about it and a lot of the details were left out. I'm really disappointed with this author.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Only OK, not too much to it, and a strange writting style By Neil E. Hahn I love good western books. Unfortunately, this was only OK. First of all, I didn't realize it was a short story and not a full length book.. So, that was disappointing. Next, the writing style was a little strange. It was written more like a screen play then a book. For instance, a random sentence in the book reads like this -- As he entered the courthouse, he stops and checks the bulletin board for upcoming trials. He removes his hat and greets Emma with a cheerful greeting....She stops what she's doing , looks up, gives him a big smile saying, "Yes, it is Marshal." Enjoying their little tit for tat she continues.... The whole book is written like this. I've never read a book written quite like this before. Overall, the plot was OK-- a young couple just starting out together decide to go West. On the way, they meet a Marshal who is a John Wayne type that is going to the same place to help settle a range war. The war engulfs them all, John Wayne -- I mean Marshal Luke Pressor -- finds a way to single handedly round up all the bad guys and bring them in to justice. Everyone lives happily ever after.
