1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. The book is every bit as good as the first one By Vicki Andress Just finished In the Garden. This is the 2nd book in the writer's Roaring Twenties series. Disclaimer, if you are in the process of reading book 1, you may not want to read further, as I don't want to give anything away. This book deals a lot with Maude and her struggles with her memory loss. We also see stories developing among the Brennen family and their trials during the Depression. The book is every bit as good as the first one. I really enjoyed this book and found myself laughing at the mom (Millie) as she deals with her busy family. The characters are warm, friendly, and very real. When I finished I felt as if I were a part of their lives and can't wait for the next one to come out.
