This looks like a teacher had 50 middle-school students pick out of 50 topics to write a 2-page "report" on one of each aspect of "human history"....then the teacher compiled the middle schoolers work (including the obligatory pictures), slapped it together online, and calls it a book. Was expecting much, much more. Feeling like that was the most painful $4 to part with.

By the help of this book I have come to know about human history. Inside of this book the author has described some historical events from Ancient civilizations to modern time. I am history lover and always like to read historical tropic related book. A few weeks ago, my uncle suggested me about this book and for that reason I purchased this book. Author James has done an excellent job and he did a huge research about human history. It is really impressive and also appreciated. By reading this book I have come to know about The French revolution, The Norman invasion of England, The first civilization in Mesopotamia, and much more. Inside of this book I have found some pictures and explanations to every event. Overall, this book is fantastic and one of my best read. I will definitely suggest this book to all.This is my honest approach and I have tried to introduce all of you guys about the quality of this book. Yeah, well of course those would have to be the most significant ones, but I bet a lot of learned scholars and historians find that debatable. Anyway, this book definitely contains a great selection of some of the best ones, ranging from Alexander the Great to Copernicus and Adolf Hitler. I think estimates and calculations of 200,000 before Christ are ridiculous, since I believe scientists have just copied those data from each other and could never find out how long ago some of those things took place. But other than that, I liked the book. Kind of what you would read for school or just to have a good overview.
