The story-within-a-story continues ...
The story-within-a-story continues and a sequence of stunning revelations unfolds in Epiphany’s gripping conclusion. The 2008 Global Financial Crisis is looming, a time of losses for some in Rosetta’s circle, and the odd astonishing gain. Via the path of mystery, reversals in fortunes and romantic love, Rosetta and her book club unwittingly get involved in a quest for The Silvering: an epoch rumoured to begin in 2019. The world's concept of worth, however, is keeping alive the Cycle of Suffering that body-kings began in the ancient past … and the chance for a brighter future is fading fast. Beneath the red soil of a southern land lies a glimmer of hope — a legacy of Norwegian forest-dwellers — destined to bring about a worldwide epiphany … but only if two people from two very different standpoints can settle their differences in time to fulfil Lillibridge’s mystifying prophecy. Discoveries made about Edward Lillibridge in the British village of Tintagel, letters he wrote to his sister and son, unite Matthew and Rosetta in their desire to glean facts, but between them stands a wall of mistrust that threatens the sprites' noble plans. Each letter adds yet another detail to the tapestry of Lillibridge’s 18th-century existence, and Matthew is confronted with an uncanny truth that challenges his perceptions of life and death. What readers are saying on Amazon's international sites ...
A wonderful sequel to the first book, a fascinating journey through time ... CillaWilson Australia I recently read and reviewed Terry’s debut and first novel in this series, so my eagerness to read the follow up was a mix of equal parts excitement and trepidation, trepidation because after being so overwhelmed by the first book I was worried she wouldn't be able to carry on in such a successful way. Well, now I’ve read it I know I needn't have worried as The Silvering is every bit the knockout! The story continues on in the same intricate but well plotted manner without tailing off like some two-novel series do. It also doesn’t have the dragged out feel of others which just seem like a ploy to get the reader to buy two books when one would have been sufficient. If you’re reading this then I guess you’ve already read the first novel, so waste no more time and find out for yourself! Review Once again, Ms. Terry does an amazing job of working the plots of both the faery world and present day as the characters come to realize they are connected through the Dream Sphere where the past, present and future exist simultaneously ... Brilliantly entertaining ... Captivating, wondrous and uplifting!Stephen Fisher, Readers Favorite A monumental achievement ... I am in awe of Sonya Deanna Terry's ability to guide the reader from Australia to England and from the spiritual realm to the world of finance.Ray Simmons, Readers' Favorite Extremely complex yet easy to read and follow ... an amazing story that combines ancient myth, fairy tales and modern issues in a tremendous promise for the future. Exceptionally well developed characters and a dual plot that merges the past with the present provide plenty of interest, excitement and enlightenment. You can't help but feel uplifted as the story unfolds, so it is well worth reading - and more than once!Melinda Hills, Readers' Favorite

Who looks inside, awakens.' - Carl Jung By Grady Harp Australian author Sonya Deanna Terry made her literary debut with EPIPHANY - THE GOLDING and trying to find how this obviously very gifted writer arrived at such an auspicious introduction we find only that she is `a former Canberra resident, a communications student, novelist, gelato connoisseur, future time-traveler, and adorer of all things adorable and a rabid theatre-goer.' So we must assume this young and gifted Australian has a keen sense of history and magic, and has continued her EPIPHANY concept with EPIPHANY - THE SILVERING.What strikes this reader first is her ability to transport us in time in a prologue that is poetically stunning and establishes the origins of the story that follows. She not only cares about the apparent prophetic possible demise of the humanities and preoccupation with the evils of consumption, but instead she has found a way to lead us to a currency of kindness. That not only makes her a gifted author but also a philosopher of note. She has that gift for bringing us up to date with the events and thoughts of the initial volume of EPIPHANY, but in doing so she offers the content of her ideas and story at book's opening: `In The Silvering -- the second and concluding volume of Epiphany -- the reading group continue their exploration of Lillibridge's Georgian-era text, and a sequence of stunning revelations unfolds. The 2008 Global Financial Crisis is looming ... a time of losses for some in Rosetta's circle, and the odd astonishing gain. The elf, who now regularly visits Matthew, fits the description of a character in Lillibridge's book. Keen to learn more, Matthew becomes intrigued with Rosetta's reading group and with humanity's secret history. Discoveries made about Edward Lillibridge, through letters retrieved in Cornwall, provide Matthew and Rosetta with something to talk about, but between them stands a wall of mistrust that threatens the sprites' noble plans. Each letter adds another colourful detail to the tapestry of Lillibridge's 18th-century existence, and Matthew learns of an uncanny truth that links him to the author's life. Rosetta's teenage daughter, Izzie, is still smitten with the elusive Glorion, but is yet to discover the friendship's bizarre significance. Via the path of mystery, reversals in fortunes, and romantic love, the reading-group members unwittingly get involved in a quest for The Silvering: an epoch rumoured to begin in 2016. The world's concept of worth, however, is keeping alive a Cycle of Suffering that body-kings began in the ancient past ... and the chance for a brighter future is fading fast. Beneath the red soil of a southern land lies a glimmer of hope, a legacy of Norwegian forest-dwellers, destined to bring about a worldwide epiphany ... but only if Matthew and Rosetta can put aside their differences long enough to fulfill Lillibridge's mystifying prophecy.'Sonya manages to sustain our fascination with this story within a story throughout this long epic. She very ably captures the life-sorting of contemporary teenagers, paints a tapestry-like setting for her story locales, and introduces mythological ideas and creatures with contemporary realities and people influenced by concepts only accessible with sensitivity to the ancients. Warm, humorous, intuitive, and imaginative, this book brings a most satisfying conclusion to a beautifully hewn diptych. Welcome to the strange near prophetic reflections of Sonya Deanna Terry. I am amazed by Sonya Deanna Terry's gift as a writer for she does not repeat her writing style but has presented fresh format in her story. The first part of the novel almost oscillates between the dream sphere and the letters in which the characters reveal a number of things- both of their personality and of their life. This also makes the story move at a fast pace and a lot is covered in just a few pages.Sonya has created a marked difference in the font type too when describing the two worlds. The words describing the dream like sphere are also dreamlike in quality. There are a bit shallow looking and lack the depth same as we feel when we are in a dream like state. On the other hand the words in the real sphere are bold and striking just as we see the world in our waking state. The third striking thing about the book is its positivity. Through the magic of her words Sonya has managed to spread positive feelings throughout the novel. This makes the reader feel revived and refreshed and fills the heart up with hope.Lastly, the writer has connected history and religion to her main story in a very convincing manner. As I had read the previous novel so was well acquainted with the characters. Yet, the book offered me a new storyline and I am looking forward to a third sequel to the novel.

A Book That Delivers a Powerful Punch By Marta Cheng Epiphany – The Silvering is the conclusion to the book-within-a-book story that began with The Golding where Rosetta’s reading group continues to read Edward Lillibridge’s Georgian-era book. Let me say this first about the book. Some series don’t require a reader to read the first book in the series in order to enjoy the other ones in the series. The Silvering is NOT one of those books. You need to read The Golding first – and then The Silvering for two reasons: first, because The Silvering is a continuation and conclusion to the events which occurred in The Golding and second, because both books contain a complexity of details that should be read in a certain order in order to follow and fully appreciate them. The Epiphany books (The Golding and The Silvering) are part fantasy/part mystery and, without a doubt, high-octane imagination. Writing a book requires imagination; now imagine writing a book within a book involving alternate universes – one a mystical world inhabited by sprites and forest creatures and the other inhabited by those of the human variety doing everyday mundane things like playing Monopoly. Don’t kid yourself, though. The Silvering isn’t all about mystical creatures and curious humans – it also has a powerful message that delivers a big punch.
